About

My name’s Elizabeth Redman and I’m a Melbourne-based journalist, writer and editor.

Here’s some handy advice that my journalism teacher once gave me:

When interviewing someone, cut the pages of your notebook in two.

It means you can write questions on one half and take notes on the other. When you turn the page to take more notes, you’ll still have the questions in front of you. There’s no awkward flipping backwards and forwards required.

Sure, it won’t work for everyone, but it worked well enough for me that I thought it might be a good name for a blog.
